How Kailara Organics Began
A journey back to our roots.
Kailara Organics was born from a simple thought: some of the finest foods are the ones that have been part of our lives for generations.
In the mountains of Uttarakhand, food has always been more than just food. It is connected to the people, their traditions and Himalayas-the land of Ganges.
Rajma slowly cooked in a home kitchen. Gehat dal prepared in the traditional way. Kala bhatt, Jhangora and other native grains and pulses that have nourished generations. These are flavours that carry a sense of place,a taste of Pahad.
But as lifestyles changed, many of these traditional foods began disappearing from everyday kitchens.
We wanted to bring them back.
That thought became the beginning of Kailara Organics.
The name Kailara draws inspiration from Mt. Kailash, a name deeply connected with Lord Shiva and the spiritual identity of the Himalayan land. For us, it represents our connection with the mountains, the authenticity and the traditions rooted in them.
Our journey is about discovering these traditional ingredients, understanding where they come from, and bringing them to modern homes while respecting the food culture they belong to.
We believe tradition does not have to be left in the past. It is a necessity and should be carried forward.
And every time a traditional Pahadi ingredient finds its way back into a kitchen, a little piece of that heritage lives on.
